Why you need a Memphis Grizzlies live stream
Jacob about his favorite player of the Memphis Grizzlies:
When people mention the Memphis Grizzlies, the name Rudy Gay or Marc Gasol usually comes up first. Why not? After all, these two men are two of the vital players that brings success to the said NBA team. It remains to be a Rudy Gay or Marc Gasol show, but a guy suddenly rose up and established himself as an offensive threat to the other NBA teams. His name? Zach Randolph, a six foot nine inch, undersized power forward who has been a pain in the ass for other power forwards in the league.
Known as Z-Bo, Randolph did not start out big like LeBron or Kobe. When he got into the NBA, I remember him being in three different teams (Portland Trailblazers, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers) before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies. Although he won the Most Improved Player award in his tenure with the Trailblazers, his "greatness" was cut short due to a hand injury. I remember knowing this guy for the first time when he scored 43 points and grabbed 17 rebounds on what appears to be his last game as a Trailblazer. I never heard from him ever since he got injured. His name simply got buried under the pile of new stars that changed the game: LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, and the like.
I completely forgot about Zach Randolph until I finally saw a Memphis game one time. It was a heated game between the San Antonio Spurs and the Grizzlies with the Spurs leading their way to victory. Suddenly, this man went on rampage as he kept on scoring and scoring over Tim Duncan and whoever big man there is in the Spurs' lineup. My jaw was literally open as I watched in awe how Z-Bo performed that night. No, he wasn't dunking on them like Shaq, but he was killing them with his fade away baseline jumpers and a variety of quick foot works that led to an easy basket. It was because of Z-Bo that his Memphis Grizzlies, which is an 8th seed, defeated the Spurs, a number one seed in the west.
Though the Grizzlies lost to the Thunder in the second round of the 2011 playoffs, Z-Bo definitely succeeded in making a name for himself. He reinvented his game as a smart player and his combined efforts of perseverance and hardwork gave him the superstar status that he enjoys to date. |
