The Cleveland Cavaliers was a team that did not really make it as one of the elite teams in the NBA until they were able to acquire LeBron James. The Cleveland Cavaliers has had very little success before 2003 and when LeBron James arrived, that all changed. LeBron was able to take the team from a draft lottery team to one of the best teams in the NBA and they were able to reach the NBA Finals during the 06-07 season thanks to his leadership. But that was only until 09-10 as LeBron chose to take the easy way out in winning a championship and move to Miami to get help that he did not have in Cleveland.

The loss of its star player made Cleveland suffer badly as they had the second worst record in the NBA for the 10-11 season with a 19-63 win-loss record. They also broke the record for most number of consecutive losses having lost 26 games in a row. They did a lot to make the most out of a team that has lost its most important player but no matter what they did, they were more than shocked to find out that they were deserted by a player who they thought would stick with them.

The season was not all bad for Cleveland though as they were able to score two of the top five picks during the NBA draft. This has not happened since the 1983 season and it was really out of pure luck. This allowed them to get two of the best college players that were in the NBA draft which will surely help them rebuild and get ready for the next season. The team has been able to get players that are much younger and this gives them so much time to work on developing their players and getting new stars with an excellent support group that might just lead Cleveland to another excellent playoff run.
