Why you should watch Utah Jazz online

My first encounter with the Jazz was in the mid-Nineties and you'd be making a correct guess that I'm also a fan of the great Karl Malone. The Utah Jazz have probably the richest history in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference of the NBA. My most memorable image of the team is the famed partnership between point-guards Malone and John Stockton from the 1987-88 season. This is the season when Stockton became the starting point-guard after replacing Rickey Green. Stockton has a striking resemblance to Sylvester 'Rambo' Stallone and his work-rate was just as similar. The 2 led the Jazz in those memorable NBA Finals in the 90s where they went against the same team-the Chicago Bulls.

In the 97 and 98 Finals, the Jazz to Michael Jordan's prowess put in amazing performances and locked in hundreds of new fans to the Utah Jazz brand. Malone was a leader of the triumvirate that included Stockton and Jeff Hornacek. He won his first Most Valuable Player Award in the 1996-97 regular season when he averaged 27.4 points, 9.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. In that season, the Jazz beat the L. A. Lakers 4-0 in the semis enroute to meeting the Bulls in the Finals.

In the 1998 NBA Finals, the Jazz went down to a resurgent Bulls who were led by the outstanding Jordan. But this was after Utah Jazz had taken the first game 88-85 in Salt Lake City. The Jazz put in a memorable performance in Chicago to keep the tie at 3-2 and held the lead for most of the game in Game 6. However, their resilience was cut short by Jordan who made a jump shot in the dying seconds of the game to win the series 4-2 for the Bulls.

The most recent superstar, Carlos Boozer left for the Bulls as a free agent in July 2010. The 2010-11 season ended disappointingly with a 39-43 record and for the first time since 2005-06, the Jazz missed the playoffs. Jerry Sloan also resigned in the same season giving leeway for his assistant, Tyrone Corbin to usher in a new Jazz era.
