For many years, the New England Patriots Quarterback, Tom Brady has been one of the highest level and most consistent performers in the entire NFL. Many good players can raise their level of performance for a game but the thing that really sets the very best players apart from the rest is a high level of performance, every game over a long period of time. It is hard to get to the top but it is even harder to stay there. To stay at the very top of the game for so long is what sets Brady apart as an excellent Quarterback.

Brady has the third highest career passer rating of all time with an outstanding record of 96.0. He was named the NFL MVP in 2007 and 2010. When he was named MVP in 2010 he became the first ever unanimous choice. His 2007 selection was arguably even more impressive though. In that season he led the Patriots to the first perfect regular season since the NFL took on a 16 game schedule. The season ended 18-1 after the Patriots lost the Superbowl game.

He has won various awards and recognition during his career. He has been selected for 6 Pro Bowls, won two AP Offensive Player of the Year awards, won 3 Superbowls and 2 Superbowl MVP’s. He was named in the NFL team of the decade for the 2000’s and even won recognition from outside of the football world by winning the Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year Award, the Sporting News Sportsman of the Year award twice and the AP Male Athelete of the Year Award.

It is very rare that a sportsman transcends his sport and Tom Brady is one of those men. He is respected by everyone in the game and even observers beyond the game recognise his commitment, dedication and high level of natural talent.
