Patrick about his life with the Seattle Seahawks:

I have been a fan of the Seattle Seahawks since the very beginning of the franchise in 1976. Before this time I had taken only a passive interest in football, my main sport of choice was baseball.

At the time I was a teenager who lived very close to the Kingdome where the Seahawks played until 1999. I was there for the Seahawks very first game, a pre-season match up against the San Francisco 49ers and I have been hooked ever since. I haven't kept and exact count but I estimate that I have attended at least 300 live games since. I also saw the first game at the new Seahawks Stadium which is now named the CenturyLink Field.

Since the eighties I have lost a lot of interest in MLB and watch NFL more than ever today. In my many years as a Seahawks fan I have witnessed every high and low the franchise has experienced. I saw all of the Division championships wins, both in the AFC and NFC.

I was there for the highs and lows of every play-off appearance. I witnessed great players such as quarterback Dave Krieg, Matt Hasselbeck, Walter Jones who is in my opinion, one of the best players ever to grace the NFL, all time rush leader Shaun Alexander and the greatest of them all Steve Largent who at the time of retirement held every NFL receiving record possible. He truly was an all time great. Not just in Seahawk history but in NFL history.

I am very proud to say that I have been there from the start and had a front row seat to every great moment in the Seahawks history. This makes the team extra special for me. There is no dusty past shown in highlight reels which I don't recall like there is for fans of many teams. The greatest moments of the franchise are living memories for me.
