As a die hard New York Jets fan, I must admit that there really is nothing like going to New Meadowlands Stadium and watching my favorite team play. I have been watching them play for almost 10 years now and I have seen the team at its highest and lowest points through this last decade. I saw them win the division in 2002 and this was one of the best sports moments that I have ever had in my life. Though many New York fans are split between the Giants and the Jets, I must admit that I am only a Jets fan and will always be a Jets fan.

This is why last years season was so exciting because of the fact that this was one of the best seasons that the Jets have had in a long time. With Rex Ryan as the head coach and Mark Sanchez as the quarterback, the team certainly made their name in the league last year. The season started off a little slow when they lost to the Ravens in a low scoring 9-10 loss but they redeemed themselves with 5 straight wins that propelled them towards the top of the AFC east only behind the rival Patriots.

The Jets continued to string together win streaks and eventually ended up with an 11-5 record and that placed them in second place but they were still able to reach the playoffs. The Jets then got very hot in the Playoffs beating the Indianapolis colts and the league favorite New England Patriots. The season ended when the Jets faced the Steelers in the AFC championship game by losing 24-19. Though the season was not a disappointment, it would have been really nice to see Mark Sanchez and company make it to the Super Bowl and finally bring the trophy home to New York.
