As my favorite team continues to struggle, I can't help but remember how hard it is to be a Washington Redskins fan. Though the games are very exciting and we have some of the most loyal fans, we can't help but want to see more wins. The team hasn't been to the playoffs since 2007 and haven't been to the Super Bowl for two decades now. Sadly, us Redskins fans are still waiting patiently for the season where everything just comes together and we actually make it to the top. Though we are not the best team in the league by any stretch of the imagination, I believe that each season just makes the team and organization stronger.

The season actually started off fairly good as the Redskins defeated the Cowboys and this certainly opened the league's eyes. After Washington lost their next two games, it was beginning to look like the same thing all over again. After a few wins against some pretty decent teams, it all went downhill after they faced the bears to be 4-3. They then lost 7 of their next 9 games to end the season with a 6-10 record. The Redskins ended the season tied for last place in the division and yet another disappointing season for the Redskins.

The team did not send any players to the pro bowl and it seemed like the team just did not really work together well enough to create any kind of momentum. Though Donovan McNabb had a decent season, it really was not enough to make any noise in the league. As the season came to a close, most Redskins fans could not help but just stay optimistic for next season as that is how it seems to be like every year. Hopefully things change in Washington as fans are beginning to grow impatient.
