Why you should watch Vancouver Canucks online

Markus Naslund of the Vancouver Canucks was able to move from Pittsburgh and moved over to the Canucks. He played 12 seasons with the Canucks and was able to play in 884 games. Though he started off slow with the team, he was able to still make a difference. By the last game of the regular season, he was able to complete a hat trick and led the team to a 5-0 win over the Flames. This win helped them make it to the playoffs and he instantly became a fan favorite.

Though he only had 22 goals during the season, he was still able to help lead the Canucks to the playoffs. They played the Colorado Avalanche during the first round and it was quite and exciting series. Naslund was able to score against the Avalanche but they ended up losing the series in 5 games.

He would then continue to play for the Canucks and missed the playoffs the next year. The team would struggle for quite some time and it was not until the 2001 season where the team was able to make it back to the playoffs. This was when Naslund was named the team captain and he replaced Mark Messier.

Naslund continue to become a better offensive player during his times as a captain and was able to be named an All Star. However, during the same year, he ended up breaking his leg and the team ended up getting eliminated in the playoffs once again.

This was a tough run for the team and it was really hard for the franchise to bounce back. With a broken leg, it was rebuilding time for the franchise. Though he had an incredible impact on the team, it was tough for the team to ever bounce back the coming years after the unfortunate injury.
